| Linux System Engineer | Responsibilities: ■ Operating Systems (OS) installation, systems management, security, monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, and version upgrades on Red Hat Linux , CentOS or Oracle Linux. ■ Ensure network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, and other network appliances. ■ Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information. ■ Participate in the delivery of the information security programs, including enterprise vulnerability management, incident response, and threat management and monitoring, and risk reporting. ■ Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports. Desired Skills and Experience ■ Must have 3+ years’ experience working in a Linux Administration role, Systems Administration role or similar. ■ Knows how to set up, configure, and maintain Linux code repositories and package management utilities. ■ Tools development experience in scripting and development of systems automation tools. ■ Experience in MySQL administration. ■ Strong Network LAN/WAN knowledge and troubleshooting skills are mandatory. ■ Experience in multiple security areas such as intrusion detection/ prevention, threat and vulnerability assessment, firewall policy implementation, and computer security incident response. ■ Experience performing network mappings and vulnerability scans on systems of varying complexity. |
