( ) While there is little doubt that the gap between the wealthy and everybody else has widened in recent years, the inequality of happiness is usually less marked than the inequality of income.
(A) The income gap between the rich and the poor, as well as the degree of their happiness, is less marked than before.
(B) Though the inequality of income exists between the rich and the poor, the former is not necessarily happier than the latter.
(C) The inequality of income is highly correlated with the inequality of happiness.
(D) It is easier to measure the inequality of income than the inequality of happiness.

Step 1：瀏覽句意，找出主結構：“the inequality of happiness is usually less marked than the inequality of income” (快樂的不平等不像收入的不平等那樣明顯)。

inequality n. 不平等(衡)、不平坦 (often)
We must make every effort to break social inequality.
我們必須盡一切努力來破除社會的不平等。
mark n. 痕跡、汙點、標記、目標、卓越 v. 標明(誌)、記錄、注意、弄汙 (always)

Derek Jeter made his mark in baseball in the 20th and 21st century.
